With these suggestions, we would like to help you plan a holiday in the Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart region. 

Day 2: The Ludwigsburg region is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. You can explore the area on foot or by bike. From Hotel Adler Asperg you can walk to Hohenasperg. The castle there was a garrison and a prison where famous personalities such as the poet Schubart and the economist Friedrich List were imprisoned. Today, the castle is a historic site with impressive views of Asperg and the region, a museum and a correctional hospital. On Hohenasperg is the Schubart Stube, a restaurant run by the Adler Asperg. After the hike, you can enjoy yourself while eating some regional dishes and drinking a local beer or wine there.
